The Ghana declaration also stresses the need to apply policies to eliminate the risk of diseases that impact the community. These include promoting immunization programs for children and adults, and other programs that aim to restrain and protect against common diseases that have high mortality rates and low coverage prices. The statement also emphasizes the significance of a low-cost, high quality and effective healthcare strategy, focusing on prevention, diagnosis and treatment of medical conditions and their causes, as well as the marketing of quality health services. To meet these ends, strategies will be designed to guarantee access to quality health services, with a view to promoting physical and mental wellbeing, as well as social inclusion and advancement.

The creation of a multi-faceted National Health Service (NHS) will enable better coordination of health services, enhance the quality of healthcare delivery, and improve the accessibility and usage of health services.
